IMG_2183After graduating as an Arts and Crafts teacher in 1975 I spent 8 years working overseas in Guyana and then Kenya.

On returning to the UK I began working in Health Promotion for the NHS whilst obtaining a BSc. in Health Sciences with the Open University.

It was during this time that I developed an interest in using various therapies, to promote health and well-being.

I am now a qualified therapist in Aura Soma (Colour therapy), Ayurvedic massage, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Emotional Freedom Technique and Reiki.

I began teaching Vedic Art in 2007 (see Vedic Art page). My career as a Yoga teacher commenced in 2004 (see Yoga page).

As an artist and therapist my creative work centres around inspirations from life, nature and travelling. I enjoy working with natural materials such as silk, cotton and felt, which I dye, paint, print and embellish.

I find working creatively and being in nature very therapeutic. I enjoy immersing myself in creative activities and find the natural world an inspiring place to be. Spending time walking in the country always lifts my spirits and reminds me that we are all connected.

I believe that creativity is a life force. The courses I facilitate help myself and others connect with this powerful energy source which is within each and every one of us.
