What yoga means to me

Well my new website is now up and running, thanks to Hatti Burt of Creative Soul Marketing, so now is my opportunity to write my first blog.

I thought I’d begin with saying something about my yoga classes.

There are many benefits to practising yoga. My students tell me that their ankles, migraines, shoulder and back pains have drastically improved since practising yoga. They also say that their posture, physical strength and flexibility have, and continue to, improve significantly.

I am ever grateful to my students who help guide my teaching. I find their feedback and behaviour during my classes invaluable. I always ask students to listen to their bodies and encourage them to work into the postures at their own pace and tune into their own rhythm.

For me, yoga is about feeling into your body and connecting breath to movement. Doing so helps quieten the mind enabling us to think more clearly and intuitively.

During my practise I focus on stretching and lengthening the body from inside out, thus creating space for the whole body, including the vital organs and the joints, to feel more alive and healthy.

Why not give it a go? Find a teacher that suits you and see what practising yoga can do for you.
